window tint
alright im kinda mad bout my window tint. the limit in my state is 25% front and anything in the back. so i got 20% in front and you can still see through it but dont really mind cus i know cops need to see driver and stuff but the back i got 15% and you can see through it and i wanted the back like really dark. Im kinda mad cus i spent 200$ on it. lol jus thought id post. later
Hi.
I'd be mad about the back not being dark enough
Hell, I just retinted my front side windows 5% ON TOP OF the existing 35% I already had on there. Amazing during the day / total privacy, sucks at night though.

man, i don't understand the huge need for really dark tints. i mean, what are you guys doing in your cars that you don't want people to see? picking your nose? head banging to 80's hair bands?
i met this one guy, he has 0% tint on his mitsubishi eclipse. that was crazy stupid for a daily driver.

Thats the reason for dark tints, because it none of anyones business whats going on inside their cars.
Me personally I hate people looking at me and before I moved to Va a year ago all my cars had 5% all around with 35% on the windshield. Never got hasseled until I moved to Va from Md

well yes.
feel lucky that its 25% limit...here in NC its 35%..which is very easy to see through but overall, i'm happy with it..it keeps the heat out on long trips and still gives the windows a dark look from the outside...20% is a good level but i hate dodging inspection stations to find one that'll pass me.
The law is 70% in California too. That equates to no tint because the side glass comes factory tinted to around 70% already. Any aftermarket tint is illegal here. Still, most people do it and get away with it.
The CHP and LAPD always told me it's because officers can't see inside the vehicle to see if the occupants have weapons when the windows are really dark. I know that is true for any state, but we have a lot more people packing heat here in CA.
