well i will say there is more wind noise with them, but for me my passenger side window works exactly how it did before. It doesnt slow down at all anymore, now my driver side sticks alittle bit but only at the very top for 1 sec, so i dont think that will cause any harm.

I removed the 2face tape and Used clear silicone insead. I have no wind noise. And I also cut out some of the outside weather stripping to take stress off the motor. I'll get a close up so u can see what I mean.

I'm using (AVS) on my o6 Scion tC. Bought them from AutoZone for around $30.00, then sent them down to a local paint shop to be painted to match. Had them on for 2 yrs now and still now issues. Some people like in-channel and others don't. I'm not into the in-channel ones because I had some before and the window got caught/pinched and broke the visor.

I just got in AVS in-channel visors and noticed they use double-sided tape. I guess that Weathertech is the only in-channel that snaps in with no tape? I think I'll still go on and install with the tape though. I'd still like to see what COD_OG did with the in-channels replacing the tape with silicone.

I have been thinking of getting a set for my tC too...

This is actually a pretty decent thread with pros/cons & opinions from those that have different brands.

Weathertechs (and picture whoring) ftw. They were one of the first things I bought for the car and I've had no issues. The windows were slow for like three days but after that it's been perfect.

I think in-channel looks more natural on the car. The lines flow better.

i think i have some extra wind noise from mine which are the same style as weathertechs and wades, but i have no air leaks i just think it is how the air flows over them and hits the window. Its not super loud or anything.

mine has minor noise, nothing bad. I dont have any air leaks either. i think its pretty normal to have some noise with visors.

yeah they only come in "dark" and "light". i got the dark ones cause it would match my tints and id say they're about as dark as 20%.

yeah i have. there's really no way for them to fall out cause of the way they install but i do notice after a few months that they rattle in the track a tiny bit with the wind. a little bit of silicone (or other weatherproof adhesive) would stop that though. im just lazy lol
