Default Windshield Wipers stuck

Last week, we had some snow here in Cinci. A lot of snow/ice got packed in at the bottom of my windshield and since then, my wipers have been sitting higher while off. They're not really stuck, they still run but they don't go all the way back to their original position when turned off. Has anyone had this happen in their tC and if so, how was it fixed?

And don't be worried if you hear a "pop". It just means they snapped into the normal mode.

Believe it or not, that is one of the cool features of the tC. The wipers do that on purpose so as not to damage the motor incase snow/ice packs under them.

yeah. that works. thanks everyone. Now I know how all the people feel that I help with their computers that don't want to break stuff so they didn't try the obvious.

It's in the manual. It takes 16 lbs of pressure to switch them. But even though it's in the manual a LOT of people still don't know about it. If you only read the manual when you have to, you'd probably never know about it. But if you're a nerd like me and read the manual front to back the day you bought the car, it's in there
