Now that was funny.

Personally, I don't dig it. And a wing does next to nothing for a FWD car for performance. Looks, that is different.

I think most people do wings to attract attention to themselves... but that's just my personal thought.

maybe he just put the wing on cuz he liked it ever think of that, knowing it does nothing for down force put come on people he likes his car and what he buys for it. if every tc looked the same like most do then how boring is it to have everything that everybody has

not many ppl that have a FWD car have a 3ft spoiler on there, you'll be lucky to see a spoiler period besides the OEM lip or pedistal?

lets make this clear, because i dont think you get it yet.

a giant spoiler like that will do Absolutely Nothing for performance, meaning: Wont help with down force, wont help you control the rear when hard turning (or dodging semi's) or anything positive like that. The only time a spoiler would do anything on a FWD car would be at speeds 110mph+ where wind becomes a factor and it still may or may not help

by the way your ebay wing was designed to blend with the body lines of an eclipse, and last time i checked our cars dont look like eclipses

i have the OEM pedistal spoiler, pics are on my profile.

but really any stability that that wing gives you. you can get the same, if not even more, with a rear sway bar and better tires.

i believe, your going the wrong approach to fix what your wanting too.
it reminds me of an episode of "King of the Hill" where these people were trying to get their engine to start working again by changing the tires.

but it is your car, I don't care what you wanna do to it.

I think Boeing found its missing part. Hyuk-a Hyuk-a Hyuk-a.

Okay, cheap shot aside, at looks a lot better than those other metal framed wings with cf parts. IMO, you coulda done a bit better on choice but also could have done a -lot- worse. So i say thumbs up.

The functional part...If people are claiming it is functional for keeping the rear end stable in turns, do they realize how fast you have to be going? Even a porsche's rear wing doesnt come out till 65 MPH. Where in the US will you be taking turns ABOVE 65 mph that you need to worry about the rear end wondering?
I autocross and have NEVER seen a turn taken that fast. Unless you have it on a mile long roadcourse or something, you will not get function out of it.

clearly you dont know jack about MY car...its mine, thats why i know whats going on with it, and thats why i can tell when there's downforce...you flip that thing forward, it will add a butt load of downforce at 5MPH...where its setting now(basically level) it doesnt do much till about 75-80 at least

you pay for it, i'll take you to a damn wind tunnel and prove it(better yet, drag your whiney ___ down here and ride with me)

By the way...its universal, not designed for the eclipse...heres a different picture
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...010869/c-10114 (that doesnt look like an eclipse to me??anone else??)

stability wasnt my goal, i just liked it....i still need better tires though...cursed potenzas

it's funny how even I can laugh at an ill placed wing. but it's a wing I haven't seen on a tC before AND it's painted to match. so props for now. If I was building a tC, i would have gone for a blade style wing myself cuz I would be adding front splitters and such. I did it on a car I had before and it was rock solid on the highway ramps and twisty roads I have around here. The car WAS that much more stable. Even my xB doesn't jump around on windy days as much as it had with stock body panels. So I say run a new body kit and go with a front splitter to blend the wing to the function.

see the thing is, the wing wouldn't look so bad if he had a body kit, was lowered, and had rims on it. But being by itself, it just looks dumb.

that is my plan in the future

one piece at a time....thanks for having the maturity level to accept that it is my car, so its tailored to me

and it does really add some stability to anything doesnt it?
