with a CAI, Header, and full exhaust, i would estimate a gain of 35hp to the crank (195hp) or 20 to the wheels (about 160whp)

And if I had to guess I would say 15-20whp with i/h/e - but like I said - its a guess.

exhaust really is dependent on other mods you have done to your car. Yes, an exhaust alone will increase HP, but it will yeild much more HP with other mods, such as an Intake and Throttle Body if you are running an NA set up. If running FI then it would help much more because you would have alot more flow going through the exhaust.

so i cant say i am talking about the DraXas exhasut alone, because this is true for many exhaust systems. Though the 2.5" Exhaust DraXas has is ideal for NA or FI set-ups

throwing my 2cents in - I think if you really want to feel a difference - get all 3 done at the same time. This is the order I did mine in - 1st. intake 2nd. exhaust 3rd. still waiting to see what header i want. Anyway - I think a header is 100% needed because the exhaust and intake are letting the air in and pushing the air out but the header is holding in the middle.

the draxas exhaust did allow the car to push more air at higher rpms but I lost a tad of low end with my K&N intake. I am waiting for the 4-2-1 header to come out so i can maybe get some of that low end back.

Im still waiting on my exhaust from Draxas. I got the email stating it would be shipping last monday and that I would get a tracking #, but never did.

Ill probably end up going with MMW header. Dont really want to wait 3-4 months for Draxas header to come out. I cant really see it being that much better than MMW anyways.

Yeah, mine was supposed to be here yesterday, I have the MMW header/Injen intake, and I am very curious to hear how the combo sounds.

let me know because I was going to go w/ MMW after doing some homework but decided to wait a bit. Anyway - i wanna know what you think of the sound because you might be the first non FI guy to have this setup.

well I'm honored! I actually will have an impression of it with the header and without because the header gets returned for a new one in the coming weeks (rubbing issues) so I'll have the stock manifold on for the time in between.

I will like to hear what you say about both the stock (which is what i have) and the MMW - Hands down - the exhaust sounds great. If you like the 89civic sound you will not like this exhaust cause its deep and rumbles. BUT - the tc sounds horrible w/ a header and no resinator (but this second generation exhaust that you are getting ...and what i have ...has the resinator built in already). BUT - I was getting ready to get the MMW header and I didnt .... I should have but didnt. I didnt like the fact that they have fitting issues so I didnt pull the trigger (and get one).

Im interested to see what you think - in the next few weeks dont forget to post because ive been asking this question for months now and there hasnt been one non FI car that could answer my question.

The FI guys say it sounds good so I dont think you will say different but I wouldnt mind knowing the facts.

The other thing I find odd is that nobody w/ the draxas has gotten a dyno (and nor has draxas - eventhough they say they will its been 3-4months and its the same story).

if the draxas header is released will it be a 4-2-1 or another 4-1?

and if the draxas exhaust doesnt have any rasp to it with an aftermarket header, why are the newer models including a 30" resinator? I thought cause peope were complaining about rasp..

correct me if I'm wrong.

and is the resinator included in the tubing or will I have to cut and weld?

the header is "planned" as a 4-2-1 and the draxas exhaust does have a resinator - i just dont know its size. Its included and already put into the exhaust pipe ...no cutting needed.

the first gen exhaust didnt have a resonator. It went back under R&D when people started to complain about rasp with a header. So a resonator was added to the exhaust at no extra cost.

as of now, the plan is to still make a 4-2-1 header, and be able to use the OEM spipe or any other aftermarket spipe besides MMW's spipe.

the picture doesnt show the resonator, but you will be purchasing it with a resonator. you can not buy the exhaust without the resonator anymore. so you are purchasing the correct one from the www.draxas.com website
