Default *GReddy EVO2, HKS or Custom Exhaust?*

Ok, sometime this month ill be getting an exhaust cause i really want something that has a good sound and im tired of stock. Im looking for either the GReddy EVO2 or HKS Hi-Power exhaust? Ive heard Injen but the pipe sits too low and heard some complaints, TRD know1 likes besides the people that have them, and Draxas is too much for me right now. BTW i have an Auto. Sorry guys, with the traffic here ill end up selling the 5-speed since its alot of stop and go besides the freeway. So i really want something that has a really nice tone around 15-2000 RPM's also when i hit the gas to pass the little riced up civics out there with their so called $600 exhaust on a car with spinner hubs. Anywho, ive heard about 2 clips on exhausts' i couldnt really hear the HKS, but i know ive heard it on here somewhere and didnt sound too bad, im probally gonna be getting an alphaworks header and Injen CAI but dont really want to mess with the engine right now. Probally way down the road. Ill do a custom piping once i get the exhaust. Just not sure which one i want? I was quoted for the EVO2 shipped for $490. Not bad, and i believe theirs a thread on here with a group buy on the HKS for around $315 shipped? If i get the EVO2 ill be getting the Greddy strut bar too, got a deal for both shipped around $590. If i get the HKS, ill get the DC Strut.

Here's the clip

Let me know what yall think and which yall prefer?

i went through the same thought process.... basically, i didnt like the tilt of the HKS..

And, sine the Greddy SP2 and EVO produced the same HP gain, i went with the SP2.

SP2 has a clean sound... little deeper than stock. its a clean sounding exhaust... if you want something louder, or you want people to know you have an exhaust, probably the SP2 is not what your lookin for.

if you're going to get headers, reputation has that PrecisionMuffler's axleback provides the quietest sound as well as reduced (if none at all) rasp.. it also has a deep tone to it.

but if you want my opinion if it's just between the HKS or Greddy... hmm... i think i like the HKS better, but do look into the PrecisionMuffler axleback.

If you go headers, the PM axleback is currently the only one that does a decent job of fighting rasp... The Draxas resonated apparently does a good job as well.... you can go others, but if you go header, you need a 30" magnaflow resonator to cut down on rasp.

Plus, you can talk to Stylis (Gabe) at PrecisionMuffler.com and he can help you if you want a more customized look or tip as well...

I'm really happy with it and most people know it...

i was thinking of doing somewhat of a custom exhaust through Gabe as well that looks similiar along the lines of the HKS, or Injen exhaust where the muffler and tip are together unlike his current axleback. (it'll turn out louder, too... i think)

since this is a custom job, i wouldn't know how much it's gonna cost me or you yet (haven't asked Gabe for options/estimate) but if anything man.. my car's availiable to test fit for him and uhh... yeah man... Gabe's great. gonna see what we can do for ya Robert.
