The megan will get rid of the 2nd cat, you should be able to pass inpection, it will not cause a CEL, it will just free up the flow and a few poinies.

Sounds good to me. The exhaust and the price that is, but does anybody have a dyno of the exhaust?

sorry i havent been able to answer any questions. im actually in class right now haha. NO i dont have a header nore do i have an s-pipe. i ordered my megan header already and it should be in today and i need to order an s-pipe. as far as the bumper issue goes....it is slightly melting thinside of the bumper but i mean barely! it doesnt show on the outside of the bumper and it hasnt gotten any worse. just a slight ripple in the paint. ill try and get a pic of this. yes this is the version 2 exhaust and some fitment and angle issues were resolved with this version. it does sit back in the bumper a little but not to bad. i personally like how its not stickin out the a$$ end of the car 5 feet. ill try and get some more vids and pics up soon. once again sorry for the delay in response.

But can you pass emissions... or this would be a easier way to anwser my question. Can I purchase the megan racing exhaust kit with the s-pipe (while keeping the stock tc headers on my tc) and still pass emissions? oo yea i live in georgia if that helps any!

Hey just wondering how you guys compare this Megan exhaust with the HKS. Which one do you think is louder and sounds better?

i like everything about the exhaust, but the fact that it would melt a stock bumper and even a lipped rear bumper like mine more so... i am betting that it will be a whole new monster w/ header most likely need a resonator

heres a fact about passing emissions. add a whole bottle of rubbing alcohol to half a tank. trust me it works. dont worry it wont harm anything.it made my old butt 89 corolla pass emission with a bad cat and a cracked exhaust manifold

I wouldnt see why it wouldnt pass, the exhaust with stock header wont throw a cell, and your car is still equiped with a cat converter on your header. So visual inspection for a cat, you will pass. IDK how your laws are.

megan is cheaper and HKS is only axle back.. this is a much better deal and will give you more power.. i've seen dynos of 13whp from the megan exhaust..

Axle back's only give about 4-5whp.

Yay now the only thing holding me back is that damn bumper melter defect... I guess the only fixes for those so far are... the exhaust shield, bigger hangers, and thats all i know of anybody else got anything to fix the melting bumper problem!

i believe so. might be a little louder considering all the piping is replaced instead of just the axle back. and for the fix....u dont need much of a fix cuz its not bad at all, but if u wanted to im sure u could just use a clamp thing and push it down some and u should be good. there are probably 100's of ways of fixin it though

so you aren't even interested in how much power the exhaust gives you? you just want something that sounds super loud?

you should just unbolt your stock axle back and save the $300..
