Default 07 Injen CAI

Ok...so i called up a shop asked for Tanabe spring for a 07 tC and also a Injen CAI for the same car.

The springs were installed. But not the Intake. Got home and looked at the intake. Now the instalation book says its for 05-06 Scion tC intake.

Does this mean its not for the 07? Has anyone with Injen CAI for an 07 tC received the same?

on mcgeorgeparts.com it specifies the black injen cai as an 07 for $284, and above it is the same one for $266 which i'm assuming is for the 05-06.

but for the silver one it has the same two different prices but it doesnt specify 2007 for the $284 one. so is the silver one for $284 the 07?

Well anyways. I called the shop they said, "It should fit, Sir". I was like, "No it wont, in the 07 they changed the MAF sensor". So he said just bring it back and they will order the right one. So i said alright.

Black is what i got its gonna look good on my Black tC!

Now im just gonna have to learn how to put it on!

Putting it on is a breeze... I was among the first to get the 07 intake on my car and I remember ample instructions being available online not to mention it comes with detailed instructions. The only hard part is fitting the second pipe through the hole... you'll see.

Did you remove the wheel to place the second pipe?

yeah remove the wheel and bend the fender lining back. some people remove the bumper to make it easier.

i read somewhere that some people stick a sock over the end of the pipe when fitting it through the hole to keep it from getting scratched up and damaged which sounds like a good idea

anyway post pics when you're done!
