at irwindale this past wednesday for the Longo Triathalon, I beat a tc that had aftermarket cams, underdrive pulley and a cai. Raced him twice to be sure too. Beat him both times. (time slips to prove it)

What does my tc have done you ask? NOTHING!! bone stock! dropped on s-techs and cf hood! thats it! Just goes to show how much driving ability comes into play with the mods you want to do.

well honestly i think the 06 si is garbage compared to the rsx-s, i would believe you if you told me you beat a 06 si......then again maybe your just a really really incredible driver.....for me bottom line is rsx-s > tC (even w/ mods) ANYDAY assuming both drivers are equal

this is coming from experience i have 2 friends who own rsx-s, one who own's a 06si, and i have a tC, i consider them good drivers since we are like going autox weekly.

pish posh... lol

$1000?

Zex Nitrous kit - Maybe $500

CamCon - $300

custom b-pipe - less than $200 i dunno the price but its no where close to $200

and u got a nice monster, that is if nitrous is ur thing. Personally NA is just too expensive and i love my nitrous setup.

seeing this makes me pretty happy.

i was at the speedway on the day of the triathalon as well, and i happened to beat the driver of the car who posted this. he told me that i was the only one who beat him that day.

so if he beat the driver with those mods, possibly i could have beat that driver as well, and i am bone stock as well.

this just goes to prove, its all drivers skill mixed in with a little bit of luck.

i had about 15 runs that day, and lost about 3-4 of them.

if i had a $1000 dollars and were planning on doing engine mods i would but these, seeing as you already have some parts:

-heat wrap for your intake, a metal tube in a hot engine bay isnt getting you any power gains, this should help you get all the benefit from the CAI.

-an ingalls engine torque damper, i have honestly never seen an engine move as much as it does in the tC, with this you will be able to put power down to the ground, and not have it lost in the movement.

-MMW/Weapon-R Headers: I would personally choose a 4-2-1 over a 4-1 header on this car because it has a very short rpm range, 6500 as a redline is not much, so if you have the money, and want to upgrade you header go with the 4-2-1.

-next after all that, since you already have all the bolt ons you possibly could have, because if i read right you all ready have a crank pulley right? i would go with greddy emanage, ultimate or blue will be sufficient. you can get your car tuned and open up some of that power that is trapped due to the stock ECU. i wouldnt go with camcon because it is crap, i have seen it before, and i really dont like it, and wouldnt request it.

also, since your in cali, i would either go to church's if your on a budget, or XS engineering if you have no budget to get your car tuned.

after that, the only way i can possibly see any more gains would be to start doing internals.

nitrous is not N/A though so please don't claim that you're getting 200whp N/A...u are inducing the N20...a form of forced induction.
