Default 2010 Scion TC with Injen Intake and Exhaust

I just got an Injen CAI and exhaust installed on my 2010 TC and it sounds awesome. I can really hear the intake once over 3,500 rpm. Not sure how much more power it gives, but the sound alone is worth it. Best of all, it was free! Injen needed a car to prototype for the new SP2115 CAI and exhaust. I just happen to live 20 mins from their shop! I'll post some pics when I can.

I was just in the right place at the right time. There is a link on their website that says"Get a Free Intake" I e-mailed them and they said they need a 2010 and I would have to leave it for 3-4 days. I'm now going to sell my stock 2010 intake and exhaust for cheap. The car only had 700 miles on it when I got the new intake and exhaust.

That's awesome about the hookup. Wish I lived near ANYONE that did that around here. As for the power you've made... maybe a total of 7-8 at the wheels at the most. Not really incredibly noticeable, but there's something more there.

It only seems noticeable over 3500rpm and then it really takes off. The sound from the intake is so cool though. Eventually when I get a turbo I'm going to try and reuse the intake.

If you can leave your car, its worth it. I took my car for the 1,000 miles check up at the dealer and I saw 3 techs checking out the install of my intake and exhaust.

Yes it is. I dont know if it really gives you 12 HP/TRG but I can tell you over 3500rpm it sounds awesome and you really get a major boost of power over 100mph. I was thinking it was acting like a ram air system. That is the only way I can explain it. The exhaust is really cool looking aswell.

maybe that was because you live in cali and your not suppose to have that on the car lol.

if i were you i would not sell your stock parts. keep them just incase you get pulled over and have to put your stock parts back on.

but in for pics also.

That's very good advice, I totally agree. In fact, it likely won't even pass a smog test due to the visual inspection, such that the stock intake would need to be reinstalled in order to get the certification. Unless Injen was able to get a CARB exemption for the part (doubt it), in which case there should be no worries.

Whats the difference for the 2009-2010 intakes? I thought the set was 2007-2009 but some sites have it listed back at 2007-2008 and then a separate more expensive 2009-2010 injen intake. Is the MAF sensor different on the 2010 tC? Whats the difference? Why's it more expensive?

I have a 2009 tC and I'm curious is theres supposed to be a difference between the 2007-2008 intakes and these apparently newer ones.
