unique but honestly man the 2az-fe is a mother-f'er of an engine.

proven to be very strong and responsive to mods. if you put your energy/$ into hooking up your current engine, you'd be very rewarded.

..... find an empty tC chassis and figure out where you're going to put the driveshaft and what you're going to do with the rear suspension... last i remember they're leaf springs on the trucks.

Yeah, you're not really gaining a ton with that swap. Just build what you have. That engine may be a little more "heavy duty", but you arent attempting to build a 1000 HP car.

Now, for the RWD, considering the larger cost of making it work on the tC, you would probably be just as well off cost-wise finding a RWD tranny to mate up to the 2aZ with some modification rather than swapping engine and all. The suspension should not be a terrible issue if you find a rear end that will work. But there will be a ton of cutting/welding to do to make it all happen. It would be a kick a$$ car though if someone had the money to dump in making it RWD.

It would be an expensive project!!! Rear wheel drive Tc would be killer but that seems to be something toyota leaves up to lexus.

not sure the engine would fit when set at 90 degrees of what it is now. but i don't believe there is a rwd tranny that would fit.

If you want a RWD tC like car, just sell your car for an IS300 and mod it out. Youll probably end up saving money in the end and overall the car would still be better. Seems to me the gains arent woth it but its your idea...not mine.
