I posted this here because no one ever uses the autosports forum.
Went to the track last night.
Conditions- 53 degrees, <50% humidity, @ pretty much sea level.
Car- 2006 tC, 5-speed.
Mods- Home-made SRI... rest completely stock. Removed backseats. That's it.
Best run listed 1st
vs. EP3 civicSI ( 15.8 @ 88.47)
R/T ... .670 (worst ever... .000 is perfect)
60...... 2.241
330.... 6.434
1/8..... 9.896
MPH.... 71.39
1000.... 12.882
1/4...... 15.432
MPH...... 88.60
Supporting runs
R/T ... .545 ..... .421

330.....6.524...... 6.513
1/8......10.00...... 9.987
MPH.....71.12......71.19
1000.....12.98.....12.976

Anyone?
I'm sure at least someone has run faster stock... or as close to stock as possible. I don't want to be pretentious and think i'm the fastest pretty-much stock tC out there.

I wish the tracks stayed open in the winter here in the Northeast.
I'd love to see how the TC does with supercooled air (it was 5 below freezing this morning on my way to work - that's intake air temp, not outside air temp)

Experience.
I used to sit at the track, with my father running his 1st-gen RX7. I can't remember what he'd run, but I just would know from the takeoff whether or not we'd ride home _____ing.
When I was 17, I "inherited" my mom's toyota avalon. 200hp TANK. After a little tweaking, I went from 16.1 to 15.8, and that was a big achievement for me. I then went into a "looks" phase, and bought an eclipse RS when my avalon was rear-ended. Mistake.
When that car pooped out in the DSM fashion, I got a Jetta VR6. Here's where I got most of the track experience.. went from dumping the clutch to slipping the clutch, constant-throttle runs, bracket racing, etc... Beat the hell out of that car. Then, it hydrolocked from a CAI. 8 weeks without a car, I get a new engine and start over, and discovered that driving > any mods, and CAI's suck... but that's another story.
Now that I've bored you with my history of racing... The moral is practice, practice, practice. Practice with different cars (I swear I could drag 100x better after learning to launch a WRX.)... and just make a lot of trips to the track and far-away roads. Ask people for advice. Waste a few runs trying different things. Learn to love the tree, and it will love you.

i ran my 15.2 with a short shifter and a home made cai with nothing removed except the axle back portion of my exhaust (this was before i had my new exhaust) and droped tire pressure
good times im sure you can squeez a little more out if you launch a little better but well with a 60' time like that that is no where near a bad launch infact its great lol i just know if you drop the tire pressure a little more or drop the ____y stock tires you can dip a little deeper

when i ran i have bigger softer tirs then stock 225/45/17's but i droped the tire pressure down to 14psi and they have real soft sidwalls so they flexed good and in the back i ran 45 psi i think it was .... it was a while ago but it should help limit the transfer of weight back a little not mutch but a little
try that next time
if your running stock tires it wont realy work to well since there stiff as hell

Yup
It's a long way from BR, but I like it better than SCD.
Wednesday night test/tune rocks.. there's never anyone out there. $10, and run until your car breaks or run out of gas.
