Default ACT stage 2 six puck sprung clutch(heavy duty)help!

so i had this clutch and a 12lb flywheel installed on my car before it shipped out to me from california. Im not an expert on clutches...but i think somethings goin on with it. For a stage 2 the engagement pressure is REALLY intense. and after youve pushed the pedal all the way to the floor, it engages like 2 inches away from the floor, which is way different from the way my stock clutch was on my old tc.

i dont know wat the issue could be...but ive mastered driving it during daily conditions. but when im runnin full throttle or racing...it is SOOO hard to shift. it seems the the shifter takes a while to push into gear...and when im giving it full throttle and i push the pedal to the floor, as soon as i left off it engages, so its really hard to time the gas to be right there, and it just takes forever to shift it seems.

i duno whats going on. but something doesnt feel right. any info at all with help greatly!

the lower engagement is normal for all aftermarket clutches... and from what your describing is normal...

if you want the engagement point to be higher just adjust it... the adjustment is simple...

take a 12mm open wrench and crack the nut behind the GOLD cyclinder connected to a gold rod... the nut is on the rod...

once the nut is loose.. twist the rod in the direction were the length of the rod ( or thread area ) is expanding.. all u need it about 1 to 2 full turns.... tighten the nut back up and take it for a test drive to see if u like you new engagement point... if you dont.. then re loosen the nut and adjust to your liking... u can either go very short on the engagement of very long (higher up the pedal throw ) for the engagement...

your welcome man.. just try to get the engagement position down quickly.. after a while of adjusting the rod looses some of its spinning ease ( i guess from all the twisting ive done lol) and it gets harder to adjust as the more u do it.. since ive adjusted mines so many times...

also to make it easier for you

take out the driver kick panel and also take out the rebound spring which has 1 part on the clutch pedal and the other part of the spring on the clutch assembly.... it makes it easier to get in there and make adjustments...

thats the only place ur able to adjust it.. are you sure the rod is spinning?? try another full turn... remember .. its not the nut that adjusts it.. its the gold rod that needs to move.. the nut is only there to tighten the rod so it doesnt move.

after my clutch and flywheel were installed, i had a similar problem, it was partially because the clutchline had an air bubble in it, the other part was...well...terrible installation that resulted in 5th gear synchronizers going bad and grinding 5th gear every shift...

wow man who did that install for you?? air in the clutch line is kinda hard to come by since you dont need to physically take any lines apart to get it done.. no bleeding etc etc.. ive done 3 of them and never had an issue of air in the lines...that sucks drax

yea, thats one of the things justin thought was the problem was air in the line. i havent had any trouble with gear grinding. but it does seem hard to actualy move the shifter into gear. like from 2nd to 3rd for instance its not smooth, it seems to get hung up in the middle. but i duno, were gona keep tryin at the pedal adjustment...im gona be getting a new clutch in a few months anyway. might as wel deal with it

oh, i forgot to mention that there was also a stainless steel clutchline and LSD in that installation, which was done by p-tuning, but that was a bad time in my car's history...

im telling you adjust the pedal... 4 turns should do the trick at most to notice a change in the engagement location.. if not u can try taking it to a dealer but im sure they are gonna do the same thing... check to make sure your fluids are also up to the proper level also... if all else fails then try bleeding the clutch line...

im telling you... u have to play with ..not every clutch is the same so not every adjustment can be based on 1 small turn.. u might have to give it a few more turns to get it right... but that IS the solution.. im 100% on that.
