Default Adjusting ignition retard?

Anyone know a good way to adjust the ignition retard? On my previous car I had an msd ignition programmer and it was a push of the button.... but with the new car not totally sure. Thanks in advance.....

*EDIT*

but seriously (For only a moment), it has a distributor-less ignition system that's controlled through the main computer, chances are you'd have to get into the software in the main computer and see if you can adjust it, or get a programmable main CPU (aka CHIP)..

Unless somebody makes something to interface with the factory ECU to allow you to retard or advance your ignition timing, I don't think you'll be able to do it. I don't know of anything like that available for the tC yet.

The tC uses, in conjunction with the VVT-i and ETCS-i, an Electronic Spark Advance system that advances or retards the optimal ignition timing based on signals it receives from these systems. So I'd say manual adjustment of the timing would be near impossible without adjusting the parameters of the whole system.
