No I dont have exhaust yet. Im looking to get maybe the Tsudo N1 catback exhaust but im not really sure yet. What would go good with the intake?

Im looking to get an exhaust, a dc sports header, and H-Tech lowering springs.

Do you have an auto or a manual? I don't know if that makes a difference, but i usually hear a whiny sound, similar to a turbo.

o look! happy birthday zer0!
anyways, you should get a video of you driving around, it will be much louder. All I really hear is engine noise.
Someone needs to dyno the aem intake pronto. preferably manual transmission

Is it just me or does the AEM intake piping look a lot thinner then other intakes? I was just looking at the Injen cai and looked at this one and it looks a lot thinner or maybe its just me.

Yes sadly i have an auto

Ill re-post a video with me driving it to hear it better. Sorry about that.
It does sound really nice though when you rev it to high RPM's.

And is anyone getting that hissing sound when they drive? I know all tC's when they accelerate there is a slight hiss that comes from the engine but for some reason when I have the acceleration at a certain point it just hisses non stop and it gets annoying.

that hiss is from the intake, it's air being sucked into your pipe.. make your lips like a whistle.. but instead of blowing out, suck in real fast..

I also notice that your intake isnt close to your fuse box like mine. Are you able to remove the top of the box?
I cant get the box off because the intake is so close to it..

AEM, K&N, and TRD use 2.5 inch pipe while Injen uses 3 inch I believe.

well, i'm sure a little R&D was put into them. Bigger piping doesnt always mean more gain. AEM may be a bit more conservative but there seems to be zero fitment issues with the slightly smaller piping.

xTC, look at the bolt on the top of your wheelwell.. the reason you cant get your fuse box off is because there is a gap..try pushing your intake into that bolt then tightening it down.. look at mine.. it's pushed all the way into the bolt.. that little bit of pushing is what gave me the room to take the top off..

I have the same AEM intake- did you paint that yourself? I like it much- would probably prefer mine in blue (have SW tC), but now that it's already installed... taking it off, painting it and putting it back on sounds like a PIA (plus i'd need help as i'm not a total gear head)

nope.. when I ordered it, one of the options was Red.. I have the flint mica tC but I am getting red offset.. I will be switching my hoses/wires/clamps for all red.. I painted my calipers red with polished cross drilled rotors..looks pretty tight so far..

I also noticed..that the sound of the intake only kicks in at like higher RPMS when I floor it.. it I gradually speed up the intake sound never happens.. is this because of the filter? I have a buddy who had a shortram intake and no matter what amount of gas he applied to the pedal it sounded throaty.. is that the difference between shortram and CAI?

I have the Injen intake, and had it for a while as a short ram and now for a while as a cold air. The whistle is always there, it's just the sound of air moving through the intake / throttle body. There's a certain percentage of throttle input at which the whistle is present, I've determined after a number of long drives.
