what is better AEM FIC or ultimate. I would like reasons not opinions.

sorry if this has been posted i couldn't find anything on this. just how to set up the aem.

 

c'mon anyone I need to know which is better for a tc.

 

in all honesty there is going to be alot of bias on a vs. topic like this. I don't have any upfront expeience with either of them. But as far as what i've read through threads and info from a local shop the ultimate is easier to work with

 

I have the FIC and its not all that is was cracked up to be. If I were to do it again I would go with the Ultimate I think that is the better way to go

if your just gonna run the nitrous like you said aem would be fine......but you already know my opinion

 

yea but i also want a tune so I can make power.

 

go talk to the guys at lorange to see what they can tune the best

Your best bet is always going to be visiting your local dyno tuners and ask them what they reccomend and what system they have the most experience / success with on TC's of similar setup. No point in buying a system if your local tuner doesnt use it or has little experience with it. All it takes is 10 min on the phone calling around.

 

This is posted many times in the F/I section. But the run down is as MospeedtC posted.

Standalone > Ultimate > F/IC > Blue

In direct relation to the Ultimate and F/IC

Ultimate can do what the F/IC can..... PLUS..... 2step launch, flat shifting, ability to increase rpms, ability to remove the factory speed cut.

Those features put the Ultimate above the F/IC.
