Lol, depends on the type of boost. I'd want a header with a s/c, wouldnt you?

true...but some people *do* (albeit incorrectly) refer to s/c as boosted. I've heard some people refer to Nitrous as boosted as well.

um.. so do i have a lot to be worred about then? I'm having CC install my AW header in about 2 weeks.. i told James to attempt to find a fix for the header throwing the CEL and whatnot. Now I'm all worried my car's gonna die or something .... i already know i'm going to have to take the header off come emissions time next year.

^ nothign to worry about
1) when it comes time for emissions, I know a shop that will pass you.

2) or you could just get an old cat from a junkyard, doesn't matter from what vehicle, and have someone gut/weld the shell over the midpipe. Visual inspection problem solved

Please correct me if I am wrong here, but the actual A/F ratio in the engine is determined by a large variety of sensors, including th MAF and the 02 sensor in the cat. The ECU runs constant calculations based on inputs from all of them including the A/F sensor, but I would imagine that the A/F sensor is mainly there to make sure that the fuel system is actually adding what the ECU expected it to(and if it's not, then the ECU would adjust). But I do believe that the O2 sensor does have some effect on the ECU's adjustment of the A/F ratio. Now, is it a huge effect??? Likely not... That's why when you fix it with the anti fouler it still runs fine, in fact likely more geared toward performance than stock, because the ECU thinks it's running properly. I know in my Infiniti G20(beastly SR20 engine) the O2 sensor cooked itself, and the engine basically went into safe mode. It retarded the timing and the gas mileage went to ____... now I would imagine this would be the ECU reading that there is too much air being sent out so the car ran rich. I'd be willing to bet that Toyota did something similar with the tC. Although you may not notice it fully, I would say the antifouler mod is good for more than just getting that little light off of your dash. Those are my thoughts on the issue.
