annoying rattling and engine shaking
hi guys. i have an 06' tC with an automatic transmission. the engine the start's rattling when the car is in drive at a stop, but if i place it in neutral the rattle goes away. the rattling comes from the right side of the engine bay (so i think). also, the engine does a lot of unusual shaking at stops. i had my windows partially rolled down the other day and the right side window was rattling along with the engine shaking. i don't know what's wrong with the car. can anyone help? thanks.

i picked up my girlfriend today and we were driving around and when we came to a stop, i noticed her voice was shaking because of the car. so yea... it's pretty bad and very noticeable... when does the warranty on our tC's end? my car has about 52,000 miles on it.
Bumper to bumper is 36,000, powertrain [engine] is 5 yr/60,000.
Whether or not it's covered depends on what is actually broken.
Just be aware if you take it to a dealer and whatever is wrong isn't under warranty you might get charged a diagnostic fee.

the mount goes under where the box used to be unless you have a CAI into the bumper, then the rattle will most likely be coming from the fender opening. if thats the case, just cut some 5/8 in. fuel line longways and line that metal edge for a nice quiet snug fit.

LOL yeah it doesn't move at all and when the bushings where first installed i rev'd it to like 4-5k and it didn't move which was good or so i hope LOL, some might ask why do you have the DME ETD since i added the bushings...well because it matches the rest of my DME stuff in the engine bay and looks good at shows
