I have a better one than the Weapon r one and I can attest to no shake or rattles. Its called propper enginering. And soon this new one will be avaliable to all of the Scion cars. But i am not here to plug a product. All i am saying is show the tach and make the video closer and maybe you would sell more of these.

As a person who has been quick to question the validity of MMW products, I can attest to this part making a noticeable difference in performance. Wheel hop is greatly reduced and shifting is much more positive and solid. I especially notice when downshifting going into corners. The engine torquing on its mounts is parasitic HP loss so reducing that movement is allowing more of that power to be transferred to the wheels. You would not see and dyno increase form the product because it doesnt simulate real world driving, but powering out of a tight corner in second gear feels great because the power is right there when you get on it.
thats all i need to know ill be ordering mine today!

I have to admint I was a less than impressed with the brackets. While they fit fine, the motor mount side looks like it was welded by a retarded monkey. I havent had any problems, but I would have liked to see the end links of the damper captured on both sides instead of just bolted to a flat bracket. Im always wondering what kind of torture those poor bolts are going through.

I would like to see them. I've been iffy on this one as I have read complaints as well as praise for this. Most of the complaints are based on build quality and that it doesn't actually work. It don't think it's really expensive ($170) but it is if it really doesn't work or the brackets do bend/have trouble fitting.

Anyone care to chime in?

It does what its supposed to do well, but I had to mess with it a few times before I got it to work the way I wanted. If you have it for a while and then take it back off, you really notice it.

When the hood is popped and the ac is on does it still vibrate like crazy with this thing on or does it hold the engine pretty still?

Where on the firewall does the engine damper mount? When was the design changed from the initial strut tower mount? I believe it's that earlier version people were having problems with.

Disregard my last post... apparently there was a little confusion from the pictures and description on the MMW site. There product description and picture on the website indicated a firewall mounting, but I spoke to there sales rep today and the design hasn't changed. Still too many mixed feelings on the topic though.

There is a vibration/rattle when idling with the AC on. You cant hear it over the radio at a low volume though.

No...that vibration gets transferred through the damper into the rest of the car. The damper absorbs some of the vibrations but not all.

www.ingallseng.com has one in production I think. It's not going to be out just yet, and the price is higher than the Weapon R. I'm not sure about NRG Innovation though. They do make engine dampers, but I don't think they are for the tC.

It acts as a tuning fork for your drive train and transmission. From inside the car you will think you drive a diesal. There is another thread entitled weapon-r engine stabilizer so if you are interested read that.
