So i have a AEM cai installed on my 05 tc and it makes the most annoying sound you can imagine. The sound is very high pitched like when your cars brakes squeak but its only when your foot is on that gas very light, also when i change gears. now keep in mind this started after I installed the intake, also my friend has a injen cia and it does the same thing. So im asking all of you to give me your input and maybe hopefully a fix. thanks all ill take a vid tomorrow so you can hear it for yourself.
It did it before you installed the intake (every tC with a stock intake I have ever heard does it, including mine.. there were tons of threads on it back in the day when the tC came out... it is just the way the throttle body is set up), you just did not notice it. A CAI makes it much louder. Most like the sound. If you dont want it there.. you can go back to a stock intake.
If it were really, really bad, it could be a bad install. However, if it were sucking air back towards the TB you would have a lean condition set since you would in effect have a big vacuum leak.
But by the sound of what you are describing (and comparing to another tC with a CAI) it is normal.
