yep, buy a used head from a junkyard...doesn't have to be a tc, a camry head will work as well. Send the camry head to them, and then you have no downtime on your tc, except when you do the swap.

If you dont want to take your head off and send it to us, then wait, we have developed a nice system. We will charge your for the head work and approve your card for the core amount. Then we will send you a ported/polished head and give you two weeks to send us your stocker back. That way you have everything there you need and your car only has to be down for however long the swap takes.

Are the heads you are sending out rebuilt then, in addition to Port/polish?

That's awesome... I think that may be my next power upgrade.

From ZPI's Website:
ZPIracing Head package
Stage 1 head:
• Full port and polish
• Valve job
• Port matched intake and exhaust
• Core exchange so your car is not down long
• 100% tech support
• 21whp 28ftlbs
• MSRP: $550.00 $700.00 Core charge
The ZPIracing Stage 1 head package is a great way to pick up some power while not affecting drivability. This is a great wake up call for the tC allowing it to rev and accelerate faster. Also offered with ARP head studs this is a great addition to our turbo kit for you guys looking for more power. (ARP head studs are an available option)

head studs hold the head to the block. ARP just makes them a little stronger than stockers.

I have yet to see a "ZPI head package" exists, but in this scenario..

Well no ____ it's going to make it run lean.

N/A or turbo, a better flowing head is better no matter what. More fuel + more air = more power.

well last time i was in the parts section of this web site, this is how they worded it.
Stage 1 head ''package'' bolt on 21hp and 24ftlbs. This head flows 38%more than the stock head.

stage 1 head does not increase the redline but they plan to make a stage 2 head where it runs to about 7000 rpm but expect it to be alot more expensive.

Im not sure where the rumors that the head package makes the car run lean came from but its actually the exact opposite. Since the car has a factory wideband sensor, it see's the change in the air flow and adjusts accordingly. We post dyno sheets a while back, I'll see if I can find them.

The car actually runs slightly on the rich side with the head package. Im not sure where this rumor came from.

The head was tested before and after on a flowbench.

We have purchased several brand new heads from the dealership here so that we can offer the core exchange right away. I believe there are two new heads left. Therefore, the next two people will recieve brand new heads that have never been bolted to a car. After that we will be using the cores. They will all be hot tanked and checked accordingly.
