sounds good, not too raspy. I can't decide what i want to do for my exhaust. In order to notice a difference in power would i need to do a cat-back install as well with the borla muffler?

 

No clue, it was installed on the car the same day I bought it so I never drove it with the stock exhaust.

 

I installed my TRD(Borla) exhaust just last Friday and my Weapon-R Secret Weapon intake yesterday. After knowing how the stock setup sounds, then comparing it to the TRD, then compared to the TRD and Secret Weapon intake I have to say that the sound just got better and better. The TRD exhaust really is a high quality axle back from the sound quality(not raspy but deep) to the all welded one piece polished stainless design. I know it only gives the TC a couple HP, but man does it sound sweet.

 

do the trd and the borla exhaust sound the same? if not what is the difference?

 

trd is borla, but the layout of the trd and borla are slightly different, which is why the sound is slightly different

 

I wouldn't say slightly... My girlfriend has the TRD and her car sounds completely different than mine with the Borla. The layout of our pipes is also completely different.





Now stop the madness, forget the fact that Borla actually produces the TRD, and concider them COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

I am not sure about the HP gain either. Anyone know? I found the Borla for about 460. Thats the cheapest I can find. I do know that Borla makes the TRD. I wanted to know if everyone that has it thinks its worth the money?

 

Is that one of those universal borla exhaust bc the piping for the tC one I thought is different.

I rather support toyota a lil more and buy TRD. Borla exahaust is about 100 more than the TRD.
