Looking for one for proof of purchase to get out of a ticket. Specifically one from a dealership. 99% sure TRD exhaust are legal right?

i think you can go to a scion dealer and pick up a booklet that has it listed as a dealers option.

What you can do is take a picture of the exhaust part number located on the side of the TRD can. here is a pic i took of my exhaust when i had it. I was also given a ticket about one year ago here in california. I took a pic of the part number located on the side of the canister and took a brochure from my local dealer stating it was an option and met state regulations. The judge veryfied the part number with the one on the canister and the brochure and threw out the ticket. It might help for you.

PS i know the pic is dirty but if you check your exhaust you should have the part number their.

You know I never thought of that but the Toyota and part number are stamped in like inch tall numbers and letters on the side facing the front of car when installed.

Call trd and see if they can fax you some kind of paperwork saying that it is legal and sold at the dealership.
