~Original Post~

I'm gonna put mine in by this weekend probably. Has anyone installed theirs yet? I've got an Injen intake and the MMW header with the s-pipe so I'm worried about rasp. First of all, if you have installed yours already, how does it sound in your personal opinion? How loud is it? Any rasp? What other performance mods do you have that could affect it? Did you do anything special when you installed it, such adding an extra resonator (would have to delete the cat for this), or installing a high flow cat? Do you have any tips for the install? Any info is greatly appreciated.

For those who have the N2...feel free to chime in...but make sure you state that you have an N2....yours will be louder than ours just as is. Also plz tell if you have any mods at all also.

Lastly, does anyone have a sound estimate for the DT-S? Like how many decibels it is at its loudest? Does it have any drone while driving just on the highway?

Thanks for the help guys.

I'd like to know also...I've been waiting to see a DT-S installed, especially with some other parts such as headers/s-pipe. My N2 with nothing more than what it comes with is absolutely amazing and i love it! Nice to see somebody else though as a part of the ARK family man!

yeah man...i know there's at least 6 of us....dave...firedog i think...couple others...i listed them out in the sponsorship thread cause i was wondering who else there was.

im just worried it'll be raspy or loud as hell with headers...ted assured me it wouldnt be, but i just wanted to check with some other people to see if they knew. im puttin it on tomorrow if i get the time. otherwise probably sometime saturday. ill report back if it goes on tomorrow. im gonna go with the stock cat for right now...so header, s-pipe, cat, resonator (from the DT-S), midpipe, muffler, tip.

you should install it cause you have the exact setup im looking for (CAI, headers), im wondering all the same things, so install it , if it has rasp delete the cat and add a 30" resonator ( cats are for lamers, you will free up some hp deleting it anyways ;) )

i am bone stock engine wise this exhaust will be my first performance UPGRADE (<buddhasTC)

NONE. NO RASP AT ALL. Just smooth as hell, it purrs like a kitty lol.

There were installation issues, and therefore I'm not posting pictures yet, but it was NOT Ark's fault. It was a faulty installation and I'm having it taken off and re-installed on Saturday probably. I would suggest professional installation with a lift. Also, MAKE SURE THE INSTALLERS READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. they're gonna want to be manly and not read it, but THEY NEED TO. It takes 2 seconds. Regardless, could you perfectly install it without instructions? yes...but the main thing in my opinion is that they cut the stock midpipe in the correct spot. i think this might have been an area where my installer screwd up. It's really not hard at all....but my installers still screwd it up...and they're one of the best exhaust shops in town...so the point is, take five seconds and read em.

the actual problem itself is simply the tip is hanging about 3/4" too low. its 1.75" below the bumper, but it needs to be 1" below. I'll even settle for .75" below if they just fix it. It doesnt look awful like it is right now, but for the money I spent on it, I want it done right.

So, I repeat, its NOT A DESIGN FLAW. THIS IS NOT ARK'S FAULT. THE EXHAUST IS PERFECT, and its precision formed with lasers so that each one is identical. This is simply my installer's fault.

anyways....im very happy with it. i took more vids tonight including a drive by. i will try to get those uploaded ASAP. the exhaust sounds great, and feels great. I honestly never realized how raspy my injen intake was until i heard how smooth the exhaust sounds. no rasp from the exhaust whatsoever. extremely happy with it. any rasp that's heard in the next couple vids i post is simply my intake...its not the exhaust at all. im in love with the exhaust. GREAT WORK ARK!!!

ARK FTW!

so let me get this straight..

the ark dt-s is a catback... and includes a midpipe right? If so, what comes in the midpipe? a cat? a resonator?

from what i was told you cut right after the cat and attach so no it does not include a cat probably a resonator.

ya harrison, this catback is a true catback.. you cut it after your stock cat and clamp the ARK exhaust on.

the midpipe comes with a resonator. the way they have it set up, it will be 50 state legal.
