this is awsome
Well my friend has an 07 tC and he decided to look at all the papers for his car...then he found this paper that listed all of the parts on his car and under one of the options it said he had a TRD stage 3 clutch....lol but the dealership who sold him the car didnt add it into the price lol he saved 1200...then he looked up the clutch and it can handle 650hp and thats awsome.....only bad thing is he doesnt know if the stage 3 clutch has a new flywheel..o well if anyone has the clutch please tell me if the flywheel is included......tyvm
i didn't know they had a stage 3. isn't stage 3 a very hard clutch to drive with for a daily driver? i know a couple people with them on integras and they said they are a _____ for normal driving and make a squeeling sound when let out slowly(for example when backing up). so from what i know about stage 3 clutches he would knew he had it just from driving it.
Was it a new tC off the lot? B/c I doubt a dealer would go through the trouble of putting a clutch like that on there (btw, does TRD even make a stage 3 clutch?) and just kind of forget about it.
when he bought the car they said it had just arrived the day b4...so I doubt the dealer installed it.. but ya it is a stage 3 clutch and as far as it being a daily driver lol it is.....he also told me that his shifts are shorter than he thought a normal tC's shifts are....he drove a m/t celica with a shortshifter and compared it to his tC..he said the tC felt even shorter.....wierd huh? what are the chances of getting a free clutch with a new tC lol...oh and if anyone does know the answer to my question stated up top please respond......tyvm
the clutch has nothing to do with your throws. additionally the clutch is only 650 and it only provides an additional 25% clamping force over stock. NOT 385% as you are suggesting it does
you or your friend is a moron

I'm sorry. You guys are cracking me up so hard over here. "Stage 3 TRD clutches", "clutches reducing your shifts", that's all new to me, and I'm going on my 3rd clutch in our tC right now. Wish I would have known about the "Stage 3, 650hp TRD Clutch". Sure would have saved me a lot of hassle....

650 whp on a stage 3. trd doesn't make stages and a clutch doesn't change your throws
wow, i wonder if he is friends with that guy who owns that 2005 "trd edition" scion tc, you remember, the one with "titanium valves"
now seriously...dude... why would a dealership install a stage 3 clutch on a stock tc, why would you need it to hold 650 whp? the most powerful tc i've heard of is 318tc 454 whp turbo tc.
the only toyota i can think of that has the potential for 650 whp is the supra.
also, how do you even know it is there? if the partlist said lightweight flywheel, and he hasn't driven a tc before, how would he even know it was there?
