Out of an axleback, you should expect maybe 2 or 3 whp, nothing noticeable. And even with an spipe and midpipe, you may gain just a little hp, but you may not get it where you want it, i.e. it shifts the power to one specific part of the power band.

some axle backs will give you upward of 6whp
some of the less flowing designs such at the TRD will most likely net you around 3whp though

an axel back should give u about the same HP as a neon under your car. I like the pulley kit idea though but it is alot harder to put on if u r planning to do it yourself. You will need an air wrench. If u have a few hundred bucks my advice is an intake and springs!!

If you don't take advantage of the SEARCH feature you won't get the full benefits of this site ...

A straight-through axleback muffler has been shown to give 5-6whp gains on a manual tC:

Replacing the s-pipe & midpipe is a waste of money IMO, unless going turbo (where you will NEED to move up to a 2.5" exhaust.) Putting on a 2.5" s-pipe and midpipe on a naturally-aspirated tC will only serve to kill your low-end torque.
