Hello, this is my first question, glad to be abord

Im getting a cat-back for my tC and want to know witch is the best choice and adds the most gain.
There are about half a dozen out, now ZPI just released one

Do you want axle-back or s-pipe back? ZPI, CC, megan and draxxas replace the entire exhaust from the S-pipe and some eliminate the cat alltogether. The TRd, borla, DC, greddy, etc are axleback and dont really do as much for HP. Cat-back is a bad term for our exhaust system because the only options (without cutting) are axle back or s-pipe back.

Another question to ask is if you have or are planning on getting a header. If so, youll probably want an exhaust with a resonator to reduce the raspiness. Creative Compacts has a lot of options on thier full exhaust like stainless or aluminized piping, cat or not, resonator or not and a few different mufflers. The others dont offer that customization, but can be modified to fit resonators and cats etc. I guess it all comes down to preference but all will give you about the same HP increase so look for something that has the looks, sound and price you like.

^^^ listen to instigator.... the raspy sound you get from a header can be easily prevented. but the horrible noise you get if you ignore that advice will make you hate your exhaust

Matty, what is your exhaust set up and how does it sound. Im pretty sure you have the CC but Id like to know what muffler you went with. I just installed my header and notice a little rasp with the stock exhaust. Im looking into the CC w/ resonator and borla but ive heard mixed reviews. Im coming from a V8 Camaro so I dont want to sound even the least bit ricey.

Thanks.
I have an Alpha Werks header but i'm not shure, i might do ZPI St1or St0. I wish TRD would give us some idea on the S/C power gaines if it is over 50 bhp I might buy it, if not it ZPI all the way!!!

I didn't see anything about a resonator on this one http://creativecompacts.com/Merchant...SciontCExhaust. Yeah I'll probably just ask them.

Also what does that one look like on the car?

What does the "High Flow Catalyic Convertor " do? Recommended? Oh and if I'm not getting a header is the resonator still recommended? I have the K&N CAI. How much of a different does the CC S-pipe make, I mean soundwise and CARB legal?

Thanx a bunch.

We do have an S-Pipe.. should be finished here pretty soon. Had to commit to a redesign on the pipe to ensure proper clearance. 2.5" diamter, T-304 stainless steel, polished.. I know we have numerous orders backed up at this time on the S-Pipes, but for those of you interested, we will be shipping these S-Pipes out VERY SOON.....

between the zpi and creative compact, which one would be better and which has a better tone, especially with header installed? i know the full creative compact would be better but i'm tryin to compare the catback one by creative compact and the zpi catback.
