Default Block Gaurd

www.elprototypes.com Is selling these

I kinda understand what it is but how does it protect the block and where exactly does it go?

When you remove the head, on the top of the block there will be water jackets surrounding the cylinder walls... This is prone to failure because of the thin walls... usually you set the block guard into these jackets with a rubber mallet, using a block guard strengthens these walls which is especially helpful when running boost or high compression.

So basically it is pointless unless I go turbo or something right. If I do it on a stock motor it wont make the engine last any longer?

basically

they have these designed for hondas/acuras also
i had 1 in my boosted LS motor

no need for no mods

i cant believe another auto manufacturer went with this block setup.. its nice cause it saves some money but this open deck setup sucks for future buildups
