Default Bogging Down on sharp turns

I have a 06 TC. The last time I autocrossed, my car bogged down in one of the the long sweeping turns. For autocross I run 15in tires instead of the 17in daily drivers. Do you think it is the tires missing with the car or could it be the some kind of safety system? The car is a manual and runs fine on the 15in tires everywhere but the one turn. Any ideas? I'm racing at Buttonwillow on the big track for the first time this weekend and I don't want to be be dealing with this problem and wasting my money. Thanks for any help.

Possibly the fuel pump is not getting enough fuel because it is all swaying to one side? Just an idea.

What you are experiencing is fuel starvation. Most typically happens on long sweeping right hand turns. Keep your tank about the 1/3 mark and you should be ok. Its frustrating when you try to keep weight down for autoX, but have to have nearly 1/2 a tank of fuel to avoid fuel starvation.

Default Your right

Your guys are right. I learned that at a big track like Buttonwillow you need more than 1/2 a tank of gas to not bog down. Once I had a full tank I was good to go. I guess I always tried to keep as little fuel in the tank as possible.
