Default bomz intake on ebay/ questions

does anyone have this particular intake? if so could you tell me the diameter of the piping... i have a TRD intake now and its cracked now a couple times and my bypass valve basically shattered in two pieces, also i've noticed with a coupler on it where the bypass was.. it keeps slipping off alot... since it wasn't originally mine, the dealer wont cover it, since i've already had the rewelded a couple times... it was off an 05, and mines an 07... i think the TRD piping is 2.5 inches, but i would like to know seeing its got a K&N filter on the end of it compared to the off brand one their gonna give me... anyone have any info regarding this intake please help me out... fitment/quality/issues... thanks, and sorry for all the reading you just did.

9 times of 10 you get what you pay for. in other words, if you like your car, dont use cheapo parts!

yeah well im not about to spend 300+ on a new intake... thats just stupid... all it is is some tubing and a filter... $300 dollars could be put to much better use... IE: hotchkis sway bars... anyone else...?

lulz dont listen to the noob, i opted to go that route 4 yrs ago, and have NEVER had a problem with mine, no CEL no Bad fitments nothing. i never used the CAI section i have it on SRI and i love mine, i dont justify paying 300 plus for an intake that doesnt do anything at all and ur basically paying for a badge thats on the piping. what i did do from the very beginning was switch the filter that it came with and bought a AEM dryflow and injen filter for it filters cost like 35/40 bucks and the intake itself i paid 30 at the time. so i spent 70>300 plus to have the same "whishhh" noise and no add on to power like every other intake out there. just make sure u get another filter for it tahts all i recommend

I have the Bomz intake in my 07tc and I have not had any problems with it. Sorry I really dont know much about the specs on the intake. For the price it does the same as the big boys "Brand name" intake.

I ran the Bomz intake and filter on my old car for a couple years and it worked fine, no problems. I would recommend changing the filter to an AEM dryflow or something better than the Bomz filter.

yea i just picked up the bomz intake 2 weeks ago. havent put it on yet. will be doing so this weekend. picked up a injen filter to go on it. going to be using it as a sri though. not planning on doing the cai pipe. painted my piping gloss black turned out pretty good. i was in teh same boat as you. i mean if you could find one used injen intake are good i just wouldnt pay 200+ for a intake.

an intake is like masturbation anyways, do what makes you feel good, there isnt much differance between a expensive intake and a cheap one, plus Bomz sells a ton of intakes to be crap at least he isnt trying to make one himself
