Default borla or trd

i've been looking to get an exhaust for my car.. but i don't wnat anything too loud and something that looks stock. i 'm thinking either the borla or the TRD. even though a lot of websites say the borla is a catback exhaust... it is an axle back right? was looking for advice on either the TRD or borla.. and does anyone know the comparison between the two? like hp wise and stuff.. thanks

There are two versions of the borla exhaust, if you are looking at the one from trdsparks.com , then thats the one i have. Not much for hp gain , just another sound modification .

hope that helps you out a bit,.

The video u made in the post above
i dunno its just a feeling but it seems like it makes more noise than the trd when you "floor" it (accelerate fast)
am I right?

I used to have the megan drift spec cat back. i smashed the stupid muffler and had to get a replacement. I strapped on the trd muffler and i am so happy with it you wouldnt believe. It has the same tone as the megan but MUCH MUCH quieter. TRD looks great too.

my friend did that too.. i don't know why he put the trd on... but he kept the midpipe... 2.5 to 2.25... hrrmmm....

but yeah... with trd.. you know it fits... and it's trd... borla does other cars too... like if you think about it... its like piece of mind... trd is for toyota and scions only...
borla goes from domestics to imports...

it's like why did you choose toyota? cuz they dont make lawn mowers and bikes... they put all of their research into cars and cars only.

Go with the borla! I just installed mine yesterday part#11743, its a great system. Its not that loud really i cant even hear it inside w/ the radion on mute. The tip is awesome and the outside sound is great. Another plus is the fact that the exhaust sits higher then stock so you dont see any of the muffler like you do the trd and alsop the fact that this has a million mile warranty where as the trd will only have 12,000 if you do the installation yourself.
