Default a/c removal

i want to remove my a/c and maybe the condesor but i dont know much about a/c systems.

if i leave the condensor in and just remove the compressor do i need to cap off the lines?

when measuring for a new belt do you need to reset the tensioner possision to get the correct place?

will it be worth the work?

weight reduction for what i hope is going to be a track only car....

if your purpose is to lose weight and make summers unconfortable then no, its not worth the work.
