CAI and cold weather

Default CAI and cold weather

ok i live in indiana and the winters here can get really cold and im wondering if its ok/safe to use a CAI that time of year?

Even really cold air won't harm your rig.

you will probably make more HP lol. No seriously on a friends car who has live data logging with a CAI the difference between idling and driving down the road is close to 10-15 degrees difference.

Nah it wont hurt your engine, But you will notice your gas milege will starting to suck, because of the dense air thats coming in.

I've been noticing when i had when i had my SE-R, and during winter my mileage drop. ex i used to get 250miles out of a whole tank during summer, but during winter i got 225miles outta the tank. oh I dont drive as crazy during winter here in Maryland because of snow and what not. Just letting you know.
