Default CAI Vibration Mounts

I bought a used Fujita intake here from a member, and received it with everything except the vibration mounts. Are these purchasable from a hardware store, or perhaps a simple way to fabricate it? I know I can buy them from Fujita's website, but that's $10 / ea., I'd rather spend $5 on materials and make one.

I think they're M6 screws that are used? Is that right? Any other tips for making a homemade vibro mount?

First....have you asked the member you bought it from if he/she has the vibration mount(s) for it?
I have an Injen CAI....so I dont know for sure if the Fujita CAI mounts the same way as mine..but if the v. mount is the same or similar to mine...I'd say if the person you bought it from doesnt have it. you'd probably be spending more in materials to make something that would work then it would be to just buy a replacement one from the manufacturer.

You must like the rattles... u don't "need" them but yeah its probably best u do. It supports it and keeps it from rattling

after breaking numerous mounts and finally the actual mount on the intake itself, i gave up. to keep it from rattling i use zip ties. you cant see them and they hold the pipe good enough. oh and i also run mine as a short ram, but if you run cold air, i would recommend doc i's mounting plate as opposed to the vibration mounts

Ok, bumping this because the seller still hasn't gotten back to me, so I'm just going to drop the money on new mounts so I can finally install this damn this. I want to make sure these are the right ones:

"Part # VM-M6-MM
Male/Male M6 Vibration Mount
1"Diameter x 1"Height"

Can someone confirm that two of these are what I need? I'd like to order but I want to make sure I'm not wasting money.

just installed the trd intake on my friends and it uses 3... but you only need 2 forsure... one inside the bumper where the headlight grounds are, and one where your old airbox was...

the 3rd goes on a thin black metal support but everyone that i know that used that spot broke the support off..

Yeah, $30 for two is pretty crappy... I was especially ____ed because I had bought the CAI used from someone on here claiming that all the mounting hardware was included, but I didn't get those. He refunded me $35 to cover the two plus shipping though, it just took me a month to get it...

And Jonathan yeah, I got the Doc I. mounting panel to help reinforce so I'll ditch that third one.

Thanks for the input guys.

I have an 08 tc and have had the fujita CAI for couple months now. just wanted to know what vibration you guys are talking about . whenever i go on WOT at third or forth gear, you hear this small raspy like sound. would that mean that my mounts are broken?

BTW, anyone know the size of the air filter?

Pics above of the mounts I was talking about... You should be able to easily check if they are broken or not visually. If it just happens in those gears I would guess it's not that though.
