Ok so today I wake up finding out that I had left my emergency lights on over night. I go to turn the car on and nothing happens. It dosent even crank. Or attempt to. The wierd part is that my interior lights still turn on and my power windows still work. I also tried to jump the car but it still won't crank. As of now I'm in school and my car is parked at a parking meter. So I'm wondering if Its just the battery or is it something else. The car Is a 5spd.

You didn't try to get it kickstarted?

 

Your battery may have enough power to run accessories but not enough to get work the starter (as it needs more power). Jump it when you get out of class.

I did jump the car but the same thing happned. When I turn the key nothing happens. No sound dosent even attempt to start. Could there be a bigger problem or should I just replace the battery? Thanks Guys

 

leave the other car hooked up to your battery longer than just a second before you try and start. Try leaving their car running and hooked up for like 10 min before starting.

 

Did you hear a clicking when you tried to start it?

ok lol update.I come back home to see a ticket on my windshield for $60 in a no parking from 8am-7pm thing. =[ BUT it was the battery i just replaced the battery and everything works fine now. lol

i blew $170 in one day...smh

Sucks to hear about the ticket. Could've bought a red-top Optima for $170. Glad you got it sorted out. I was going to point out you should see if your steering wheel lock was preventing cranking. I've had that happen to my sisters before and all you have to do is turn the wheel...voila.
