I put an OBX header and S-pipe in my car and i want to do the exhaust I've been looking at the magnaflow, I like the sound and the fact that it doesnt look like a big can on the back of my car but I'm preatty sure its only cat back, is it going to sound tinny, or to raspy, what should I do any advice would be great help. Thanks to all

 

I don't think a catback will be the cause of raspy noise, it would be the header that'll cause raspy noise. However, there are ways to reduce the rasp by using resonators.

 

usually when you combine headers with aftermarket exhaust, it sounds raspy.

you would want to get a mid-pipe with big resonators to take out some of the rasp.

 

whatever exhaust u decide to get, never forget to add a resonator, since u have/had a header...for the reason that ur car is gonna sound sooooooo raspy with header/spipe/exhaust/no resonator...


so def buy a resonator with whatever exhaust u decide, trust me on this, either buy 2 16" resonators, or 1 30" resonator.....i used a 30" and it works like a charm... from 80% rasp to maybe 10% and u can only hear it when ur beside a wall, or whatever can bounce the sound off..

either get a magnaflow resonator bought any muffler shop they cud order it or, buy it off magnaflow site itself....
