Well you get more than 40 hp from the s/c. It's more like 60hp to the wheels. Dynos of a stock tC (5spd) are nearly 140hp and dyno's of the s/c on a stock tC (5spd) were nearly 200hp. They claim "25%" but its actually a bit more.

ufcknockouts, does your car sound raspy with the s-pipe and midpipe...or is it just louder than it was when you just had the trd exhaust

I think an engine damper is a mod that you should look into. It doesnt add HP, but it reduces parasitic loss due to the engine torquing on its mounts and also lets you put more power to the ground by reducing or eliminating wheelhop. It also helps by positively locating the transmission for more solid and accurate shifting so you're less likely to misshift with one installed

NAAAWWWWZZZZ

It's seriously the cheapest way to get alot of horsepower.

Though it's not very practical or easy to play with.

I pretty much have the same set up, CC spipe, ZPI mid pipe, and the TRD. I just had the crank pulley installed by ZPI and the difference is night and day. Love it! I was able to get 11.6 HP and 18 ft. pd's of TQ just out of the pulley

CAI = 100$?
CC Spipe =175-200$?
ZPi Mid = 500$?
TRD exh = 400$?

your already halfway to get a SC, There isnt a cheap way to get power. thats why ferraris, porsche, etc are expensive.

How much power do you want ? Whats your objective ? Plan ?

I would go with NST Double.. I just got mine in on Friday.. and Wow! I can personally vouch that this 3pc. set is out of this world.. by-far the best mod I've done to date. I immediately felt the power increase and the crank speed increase.. sick.. just plain sick. I also have the water pump/alt pully.. looks good under the hood too!

I read somewhere that we already have awesome plugs in our cars. They should run around 60,000+ miles if I remember correctly. I thought the only time we need to change the plugs in the tC is if we go FI and need to run a cooler plug. I could be wrong though, just saying what I heard.

No such thing as cheap power. Be sure to research crank pulleys before you add one to your car. As much as I would like to get another thread locked on the subject...:p

Well All i can say if I have proof of cheap HP. 150.00 bucks got me almost 12 hp. So useless....no. Of course there is always a chance of problems down the road but then again this goes for any mod for that matter.
