Well, it has set a code of some sort. You need to find out what the code is and troubleshoot from there. From your post, I am guessing you are not familiar with using a diagnostic tool or even a code reader, so take it somewhere to have it looked at. If you are under warranty, take it to the dealer.

you sure its not the maintenance required light?
Is the car still running? Then it may be a bad sensor. As said before, if you are under warranty, take it in to be checked. and calm down

take it to autozone and have them plug the OBD reader into it, they will be able to tell you what code/s you are setting off. did you not tighten the gas cap on last fillup? This is a common reason for the CEL to come on.
