Probably the O2 sensor or something.

Very simple option is to go to AutoZone or something... have them read the code. But it might not give you much detail.

1.) it happens
2.) its supposed to happen, get the code read out, make sure its po420
if so, u can do either of 2 things
install o2 simulator www.racingsolution.com
or anti-fouler www.racingsolution.com

if that does not get rid of the code, u will have to relocate the sensor

Default Check Engine Light On a TC

The computer is telling me in the scanner that is a P304 code Emission Catalatyic Converter. Well I put headers on the car they didn't come with a converter. So I have to have a shop weld one in for me and will see what happens. Hope this all fixed everything. Thanks Please keep on sending ideas if you have any.

You could do that and waste your money and then defeat the purpose of having high flow header.

But if you did weld one i hope you did it right, because it needs to be placed in between the 2 sensors not after.

Since you have a reader, go buy brand " HELP " from a local auto parts store, it will say spark plug non-fouler. you need 2 of those and it will be cheaper than buying it online. it need to be placed on the O2 sensor on the spipe.

The Scion TC has the stock catalitic converter in the header. This is a techno nightmare for aftermarket companies...

The factory catalitic converter cannot be "relocated" and be CARB legal. It supposed to be in the details of the California CARB rules for OBD2 equipped vehicles. Adding a cat down stream of the s-pipe and relocating the O2 sensor behind it will probably get rid of the check engine light -but will not mean that your ride is compliant with CARB regulations.

It has to do with the efficiency of the cat, it improves as it get hotter, that's why it's on the header.

So, if you install headers and or install a turbo -Your gonna have issues. Cause you just lost your primary cat along the way. The good news is that Dezod or Turboneticks (Can't remember) have a compact cat that goes in the turbo manifold (in the stock location) I think this kit will be the closest thing to legal than you can get -but it takes a long time to get things carb approved and as of now it is not advertised as CARB legal, so there is no garantee that it will ever be.

No easy answer to this question.

Don't weld on another cat, you'll lose all the power you just gained by putting on the header.

I had the same problem with mine, just put on the spark plug anti-fouler's (like everyone else suggested).. It's very easy and fixes the problem.

you're not suppose to get any issue using the antifouler
