ok my tc has 78,000 miles on it first and foremost. when i shift from 1st to 2nd andlet go of the clutch as i give it gas, i hear one and sometimes a second click noise? or other times if im in a low gear and give it gas, and just let go of the pedal , i'll hear that click again? any idea what that could be?

went out and retorqued em at 76 lbs and they were all tight?

 

It sounds like the springs or bushing in your clutch. Probably needs to be replaced soon.

 

I know exactly what noise you are talking about my car does it too. my friend used to be a toyota tech at crystal and he said he suggests i replace my clutch as it has 112,xxx miles on it anyway and see if it stops

Mileage dosent play much into it as much as the drivers style if you will. and your best bet for cost is searching local shops unless you are a DIY'er then just search he forums for a DIY and look into kits. But if i were you (as I'm doing this as well) id go to a shop and get their opinion on the sound.
