Default Clutch problems?

How many people have had or think they are having clutch problems? I have been driving a stick for 8 years and never had a clutch go bad soo early. My civic spent the weekends at the track doing 6300 rpm launches just because I wanted it to. The clutch in my civic was the oem clutch and lasted between 80,000 and 120,000 don't remember. Mine in my tc has 23,000 and is grabing at the top of the pedal like its worn out. Anyone seem to have noticed this. I have a 06. BTW the dealer is looking into it tommorrow.

Not the same thing. Shifting is fine clutch just doesn't seem like its grabbing by much.

mine has a nasty squeek when i push the clutch in, it comes from inside the boot inside the engine bay it is definately not just the pedal squeeking. I had my dealer look at and said they are gonna replace the clutch for me. I asked him if i could use an aftermarket clutch and he said ya that would be fine. Should i do it while i can with free labor? I don't do much racing but i do take it to the track every once and a while and plan on getting a supercharger. What are some good clutches out that arent too aggresive?

I have a problem too, but it is that i have to puch the clutch in and then some more to get into gear. And i can feel something like its grinding when i hold the clutch down out of gear.

I agree on the Clutchmasters as well, although I have no problems with center force clutches either. Im suprised people are having problems so early with the clutches considering how much HP they have held out of the box. Although its not completely out of the ordinary, I've replaced EVO stock clutches at as little as 12K miles. Be glad you dont have that labor ticket if you have to pay for it.

My clutch grabs fine but it does squeek alot. Is this from engine breaking alot or is it just the pedal ? BTW I have about 64K miles.

I have only did that 4 times. I drove a honda civic with the stock clutch to the track 21 times and raced it and always dumped the clutch in it. I bashed it all the time It lasted me 120,000 miles I put 80,000 of that on it. I am just really hard on it but there is no excuse for it to feel the way it does now. I didn't say it was gone completely but it is very close another day at the track and it would be. I could understand it wearing out faster maybe around 50,000 or so but not 24,000.
