You're not going to get a CAI "brand" for under $100. You're going to get eBay. Maybe "BOMZ" ... but it's the same crap.

It's often debated that "it's all just piping" and they're all the same. I don't personally believe it. But there are people who have bought the eBay intakes and haven't had too many issues.

IMO, you run a much greater risk of a CEL or other potential engine problems with the generic eBay crap. Would you have any problems specifically? Not necessarily... but to me, the risk would be greater through eBay.

As for which one... mostly pick what looks good to you. They all make roughly the same "power" so there won't be a lot of difference.

But ya, would I spend $100 on a generic eBay intake? No. Have others? Ya. Your call...

Theres a few for around 40 shipped on ebay. Its more of a quality of fitment issue, you may have to cut some piping to get it to fit or pushing up against the fender too much etc. You could just buy that for the piping and buy a better filter.

Just look at the more expensive intakes like Injen and find out what size pipe they use. Then go on ebay and buy an intake of that size pipe.

You won't feel any difference with an intake but you will hear it. I recommend buying a cheap intake and putting the money towards other things. One of the big negatives about the ebay intakes are their filters are restrictive. But for the same amount of money you can just buy an ebay intake for the piping and then buy a good filter from HKS, etc.

I'm not going to argue that ebay intakes provide more power, but being that intakes don't provide much power I would definitely recommend buying an ebay intake for cheap and saving that extra $300-400 you would spend on the intake and install and put it towards something else.

It has been used before. I don't recall who installed it... but someone has here before. Tried to search for it, but couldn't find the relevant thread. If you search for BOMZ here though, you'll get some hits.

I also bought one from the same guy, and I just got it yesterday, but I'm going to paint it first then I'll install it. I can let you now maybe by next week, how mine worked out.

that looks like the "HPS" intake that was around for like 2 weeks LOL, i think they might have gotten in trouble with Injen, seeing as they completely ripped off their design

I bought an ebay short ram for $40 and purchased a better/larger filter from auto zone. (ebay one was small and crappy)Total spent was about $70. Works great no CEL. Not sure I would recommend a full cold air though. Bends might be off and give you bad fitment.
