Default cold air intake & other questions....NEED HELP...!!!

I m looking for a good cold air intake from somewhere in between $150 - $300. it doesn't has to be any fancy ( shiny or chrome). something that i could get more power and pay less. i looked so many of them but can't decide which one to get. Where to get it from?

INSTALL : I'm new to the car things, so would it be hard for me to put it in by myself. Any one has a installation steps or steps w/pictures?? Any one willing to help in CHICAGO area???

GENERAL : what other modifications i should consider myself for under $200 that could help get more power. or any other type of small modifications. so far i have changed all the interior and exterior lights, & new shift ****.

where should i get the small antenna from?? and how much does it cost?? and what kind of antenna is it???

Does anyone have a tint in Flint Mica ???? and what % is it??? POST some PICTURES..!

Give me some idea to work with for under $200..!!!

Would appreciate it...

okay first of all.. a intake on a TC is nothing more than a noise maker.

and the best mods to start out with is an exhaust, tints, sway bars, lowering springs. that should get you off on the right foot.

you can get small antennas anywhere for like 20 bucks. i have the agency power stub antenna that i got from vividracing for 20 bucks.

my suggestion is use the search button cause this has been talked about every other day with the same type of pos. but if you want stuff under $200 then do Fujita CAI, Megan Racing S-Pipe, NST crank-alternator-waterpump pulleys, if not the NST crank then the power agency crank pulley. for suspension get springs, rear sway bar, front and rear strut bar, and that is about it that costes under $200. for a antenna just go to your honda dealer and buy for for $20+

Any difference in power and gas mileage is negligible. I have the Injen CAI, which is known to give the best performance boost out of all the intakes, but the difference isn't much. You will lose a bit of power at the low end and gain it at the high end. Mileage could improve slightly if you drive in the low end of the RPMs all the time, but if you drive aggressively then the mileage will end up being a little bit worse.

None of that is important to me though, because the sound is great. It doesn't sound ridiculous and it doesn't sound like rice. It just has the perfect aggressive growl when you open it up over 3500RPM. You can also hear it sucking in air when the RPMs get really high. Great sound.

^ well said, and the install for an intake is very straight forward and like most of the people said here, just use the search button and you should find someone who has done a DIY on intake installs.

Yeah it's really simple. The instructions with the Injen were good. It took me about half an hour to get the stock airbox out and an hour to fully install the Injen. I could do it much faster now, but that was still pretty good for a first-timer.

HKS is the angled one that alot of wrx have. magnaflow is a clean exhaust, greddy evo and sp2 are nice as well. serach up "scion tc exhaust" on youtube so you can hear them all and then tell us which one you like most and someone on here can help you find a good price on for it.
