Default Cold Air Intake/Short Ram Intake

Im planning on buying an intake for my tC. My friend has a GSR with a cold air intake and said it is a good idea to get a short ram intake instead, since it rains quite alot where i live. I dont want to take the chance of water getting into the cold air intake. I wanted to know if this concerns anyone with a cold air intake system?

the front of the tC is covered pretty well so rain isn't such a problem, driving through flooded roads though.....i say go CAI, but if you really wanna be safe SR, but get a air box for it. the engine bay stores alot of heat, at least i noticed that with mine
