NGK tech support told me to go 2 steps colder and gap to .038 instead of .044 (factory) for a 75 shot. That seemed pretty extreme so I got a second opinion from a guy I knew had a lot of experience. I am going against their recommendation and getting 1 step colder and staying at factory gap.
This is advice from a guy who has been spraying almost as long as I have been alive, so I think he knows what he is doing.
Not to say that NGK tech guys don't know what they're doing, but one would have to ask themselves if the person giving you the info simply caught the info "by-the-way" or they actually learned by experience.
If I have any problems I will let you know, immediately. I have a wideband and my exhaust coming sometime next week. It will be going in next weekend, so I should be able to (safely) squeeze on Monday.

thanks man, yeah 2 steps would be to much for daily driving without spray if in was a drag car running juice all the time i can see it, but 1 step stock gaps what im doing then thanks.
No problem, but like I said, I will be squeezing in a week and a half if you'd like to wait to see how mine handles it just for comfort's sake. I'll play the guinea pig...
I am using NGK BKR7ES-11. These are the exact match to factory, just one step colder. (BKR6ES-11)
What size shot will you be running? I am going to start with a 50 and likely move to the 75 after I get the hang of it.

i have the same plugs, i was mainly wondering if they needed a different gap, but one step cold isnt enough to merit it. Im running a 75 shot,i just gotta get my dyno time scheduled so even though the kits going in this week i wont be spraying for a few months
i hope to spray at the end of this month. im going to start with a 50. im a first time nos user so i dont know alot on it but 75 seems like alot no? i really dont know how much the motor can handle and dont want to blow it up.
75 shot isnt big at all, for a stock car its getting to the upper limits f the fuel system, but if out cars can handle 8psi from a turbo a 75 shot is nothing most nitrous drag cars run 2 stage 300-500 shots so yeah
i think a window switch is nessicary you spray under 3000 rpm with not enough airflow to carry the fuel your gonna blow the intake to pieces or worse
and a wideband a/f is nice, but dynotune sales a very accurate guage that will work off your stock o2 sensor, but i would get your A/F dialed in at about 13.2:1 on a dyno to be safe

Im running a pretty budget full kit lol
I got the basic WOT controlled NOS sniper kit 75 shot -319
MSD Window Switch-65
Ny-trex purge-65
Dynotune pressure bottle warmer-99
blowdown tube-26
thats all ive got and an hour of dyno tune

it is a tube that routes the nitrous out of the car if bottle pressure gets to high and the safety disk ruptures it is NHRA required for all hatchs and cars with bottle mounted in the car not behind a firewall, since the releasing gas would fill the car and u couldnt see
