Did you order it with the resonator and hi-flow cat? If so, you should be ok. What muffler did you opt for?

i have it, raspy!!!!! get the s-pipe?? it helps a little bit.....
i welded the entire exhaust, so no air leaks through the clamps...it sounds somewhat better, but it still sounds raspy when you get on the gas, but at high rpm's its good...but it is loud as s**t

So you got the CC axle-back, not the full exhaust?

sounds like he got the cat-back which eliminates the stock resonator.

Definitely get the resonator. It will eliminate the rasp from the header. I guarantee without the resonator it will sound like poopy.

What muffler did you get? Hopefully Borla.

Now unless he sent his mid-pipe to James and James removed his cat and put it on the new mid-pipe, I'm thinking he just ordered the axle-back.

jmiller20874...
here is the link to the exhaust that i bought.
it is the CAT-BACK.
it eliminates the stock resonator and retains the stock cat.

do you guys think headers will still sound like crap with the resonator? i've heard that some people with the TRD or Borla Exhaust are having problems with the way it sounds.

I have:

CC stainless catback
borla muffler
hilow cat
ZPI s-pipe
alphawerks header

The rasp started at 2.7k rpms w/o the s-pipe, now starts just under 3.5k but it is still there and it does sound like ____.

I have a 22" stainless flowmaster resonator sitting in my living room waiting to be installed on the CC mid pipe, I'm pretty sure that will take care of the rasp.

I'll make a thread when I get that done w/ a video too.

i am wondering if there can be anything we can do to the header itself to reduce the the rasp? rather than putting in a 30 foot resonator!! like ceramic coating or wrapping the header, i am curious if these will help, i mean what is it with the stock manifold that makes it quiet? it being so thick or it being so restrictive?

*edit it sounds awesome before the rasp, kinda loud but very deep remanescant of a honda 2000 at high rev.
