Default custom bent mid pipe VS megan mid pipe

alright im thinking of doing a mid pipe swap on my tC and i know the megan mid pipe is around 240 bucks so i wondering what the benefits would be to buying that instead of just having a mid pipe bent at a muffler shop and just going straight pipe from the S pipe back

Why not just get a Tsudo mid pipe for like 139 shipped.

Straight pipe back is going to sound like absolute flatulence.

why you think that, all the hondas and nissans run test pipes and sound fine and even some of the domestic cars now a days have bolt on test pipes

Because even with a nice, full exhaust and a header the car sounds like crap. And a LOT of honda's and nissans sound like absolute garbage with a straight pipe.

We put resonators in a mid pipe for a reason.

People have gotten custom piping before on a tc... If you're asking for our opinion on what YOU should get I'd say dezod exhaust and swap out the muffler with a vibrant and weld on the secondary cat section, because that's what I decided to do. Not sure why you want to change the mid pipe but just go for it, since it seems like you're going for the cheapest route. Btw crushed piping sucks. Good luck.

i already have the greddy tic muffler but when i put it on i thought it was going to be louder then what it is although it has a good tone. im planning on doing the S pipe and the mid pipe to finish it all the way to the header and im going with a mid pipe because the factory CATS are very restrictive and the resonators suck.
i wanna go with a header also but as far as my knowledge goes the weapon R 4-2-1 is the only header that doesn't cause rasp as we installed a DC ceramic 4-1 on a tc the other day with a TRD axel back and it sounded horrible above 3k

Key things to note...

"sounds like crap" is relative. While some think it "sounds like crap", others actually like it.

As for the original question of why not get a company to bend the piping for a midpipe...

No reason you can't. It's a pipe. You could also ask them to put in a resonator or 2 as well. It's a pipe.

the pipe will have creases in it at a normal muffler shop. You will lose some power because it wont be straight 2.5 the whole way. It will be crimped at the turns. Also, I had one for a long time. If you have a header and a axle back... it sounds awful. I put 2 resonators on it and finally just shelled out for the Tsudo... and just put it on myself. Plus most muffler shops wont take the cat off so it will stop at the cat.... At least that is what i have had the experience of.
