Default Custom Exhaust Setup Question

A buddy of mine is planning on getting a custom exhaust set up for his tC. He does not plan on running a header, but plans on going turbo in the future. He is going to get 2.5 inch piping and has a 14inch Aero Resonator but does NOT want to use a muffler. He wants the OEM look similar to the PTuning exhaust. So just piping all the way back. Will he have a crap load of rasp with just this 14inch Resonator even WITHOUT a header?

Even without the aero resonator it will sound good. Just unbolt the muffler and see what it wll sound like.

As far as the resonator goes, they are flow directional, so if put on backwards, they will not work.

Im running 3" PTuning Turbo back. Consists of 3" Downpipe, 3" s-pipe, 3" resonator, and thats all! Sounds deep and aggressive. By the sounds of your setup, it will be just fine but too loud from time to time!

if he is going turbo then do what i did and get a vibrant muffler in-line and full 3" with no resonator. turbo or not, it will be the best sounding thing to ever come out of a tC! I've got vids posted under the "show your exhaust" thread.
