Whoah! One post bro lol...

Q1... To properly tune the emanage you need a laptop. To attach the laptop you need what's called a "support tool". A support tool is basically a wire and the software that you install on your computer to have the correct programming software. You don't have to buy a laptop; feel free to call a few local dyno shops and ask if they use laptops themselves for the Emanage.

Q2... No need to upgrade injectors on an NA car. The emanage supports it, which is great for those running larger boost nubers.

Q3... You only need to install the emanage and this harness. We'll try to set the jumpers ourselves for you prior to shipment, but if not, we'll email you the settings you need.

Q4... The emanage only comes with the universal main harness. This means no inejector or ingition harness. It also means you have to figure out which stock ECU wires you need to splice into or even cut completely. That's a risk because of user error, and occasional poor wiring connections.

Basically this is just a safer method to do it. It does cost more, but it's easier to install and it's guaranteed to work.

When I'm ready to pre-order, would it be ok to just call the 603#?

If you're calling to order by CC number that's fine. We're looking for pre-orders on Paypal for tracking reasons. If you call by phone I'll just have to take down your info so I may put you in the system and bill your card the $140. Thanks again.

Oh, cool. I can do it the paypal way too. So, that's probably what I will do.

You can install it without tuning, but it won't make much of a difference. You definately need to make sure things are set correctly (jumpers and rotary switches) and you need to keep the values at 0% unless you know what you're doing. But with just the connections we provide, you can still log/monitor a lot of information on the laptop to learn what your car is doing.

you need a pro to tune it.. so the installation doesn't matter

no
a dyno is needed to measure power
an accurate air to fuel ratio gauge is needed to tune (amongst other things)

Yes the only thing you need is the Emanage and our harness. You do need a pro to dyno-tune it if you want to make any horsepower gains. In order to do so you need a support tool and a laptop or computer (if it can be put close enough to the emanage). The support tool is software and a cable that connects your laptop to the emanage allowing you to adjust fuel, ignition, injector, and vtec maps (not on this car). You can also monitor MAP signals if you buy a map sensor, view rpms, throttle position, acceleration times, etc, all plotted on a map. It logs race runs so you can see what happened, and compare it to a previous run to adjust for making more power. Some dyno shops have the support tool, saving you money. I still reccommend buying the support tool if you have a laptop so you can utilize the logging options that the unit is capable of.

The first two harnesses made are shipping to me either tomorrow or Wednesday. We'll be testing all of it out, and within 2 weeks of that time, be ready to ship out all the pre-orders and any other sales that follow.

Matt thanks for your help.

Installation is cake. But you need to adjust some jumpe/rotary settings on the emanage to have it running properly. Email us for support on that matter. As for tuning, you need a dyno with AFR to properly tune it. A knock sensor monitor will help too. Our harness allows you to go back to stock again down the road, have a perfect connection and reliability to boot... There is no better way to install the emanage, the harness option is by far the easiest and most consistant.
