Oh yeah make sure you get it welded, cause the clamps provided dont really help.

It doesn't really bolt up to itself, it is a slip over type that requires clamps to hold it together. In their picture it is shown welded and not with the clamps they provide. You will have a tough time getting it to stay together with the clamps alone.

 

I see. So should i just go to a muffler shop and be like "hey guys put this on for me and weld it"?

 

Exactly thats the best option, I went to Meineke and it ran me $80. Definitely better than the four hours it took my friend and I to line everything up decently, and have leaks at every connection. Once all said and done, its a nice exhaust that looks as good as it sounds.

No CEL. All the sensors come before the system.

 

Did Dezod specify a torque spec & if so did you tighten the clamp bolts to that spec?

Yeah all the bolts were tightened as far as they could go, they ran out of threads. Better off just having it welded.

 

It's a great exhaust! You will love it. As far as clamps vs. welding it goes. My clamps worked just fine, but welding is always a better choice just to ensure no leaks! Good luck!

 

I just called meineke and they said they do the work there but they have to do a free inspection on the exhaust first. Does it pass inspection?

 

What kind of inspection? Emissions?

hmm. I haven't heard of that. I'd say you should be fine.

 

it shouldn't matter, your catalytic convertor is in the header, the one in the mid pipe doesn't really do much.

 

If not I work with a guy who is friends with the man that owns a customs shop
